A work-place training program conducted in our hydroponic growing facility which specialises in growing vine crops mainly cucumbers. The training seeks to develop specific skills and provide hands-on work experience for the greenhouse production worker job roles. The program is delivered as a combination of 80% hands-on activities related to greenhouse production and 20% workshop covering basic work-place soft skills and basic horticultural concepts. On completion, participants have demonstrated basic greenhouse knowledge and developed specific skill sets required for immediate employment. Further, participants can continue to build their industry knowledge by enrolling in an accredited Certificate III Horticulture through a collaboration with a registered training organisation.

Eligibility: Participants seeking an entry pathway into greenhouse production career

Assessment: A portfolio of evidence will be built over the length of the training. This will include photos, completed practical tasks and knowledge questions.
